Outcome of 11+ debate 2001 / Too few pupils for four schools / Central location for new CFE

• Will friendship groups be split up?

Some, yes, but new ones formed / Just as primary to secondary move / But strong friendships survive the move

• Options choices in the new Schools ?

Visits already planned to new schools / Presentation on 18th January, 2008 / Whole Year 10 of 2008/9 together / Options choices are not the same as here - but nor would ours be

• What does your C.V. say ?

Clear explanation from this School / All local employers will know the situation / As will the CFE and Sixth Form receivers / Universities will be unlikely to ask

• Friction between pupils ?

Why? / Be yourself, be loyal, but adapt to the new situation / Look for the positives

• Transport arrangements ?

Buses already in operation for Year 7 / Amherst catchment to St. Sampson's / Vauvert catchment to La Mare De Carteret

• Uniform ?

St. Sampson's and Le Murier - entirely new uniform for whole school - black sweatshirts - new logo for the two school together / La Mare De Carteret - new uniform for Years 10 and 11 - black sweatshirts - new logo

• School Rules ?

Work in progress / More similarities than differences / generally similar - specifically different e.g. Can I use the front entrance? Can I leave the site at lunchtime? / Unlikely to resolve all details by tomorrow or next week

• St. Peter Port School Events ?

Sports Day, Music and Drama productions, School Trips to U.K and abroad, Mufti days? - of course / You will make it happen
